Partying Mommy?

This past week and weekend was filled with a lot of fun! On Tuesday I had my cousin Sara's bachelorette party and I was out until 2am! We we're of course safe and had rented a limo for the evening. We hit all the bars in Sac that we could. It was extremely fun, but the next morning I was feeling a bit tired.

Then this Friday we had Sara's wedding to Tyler. Nate's parents came and baby sat and we we're out late again, but it was fun and worth it!

One thing that I have learned about being a parent is that we can not just be partying to your hearts content like we used to. This type of staying out late really gets reserved for major events like weddings and bachelorette parties. I have learned though that you can still have a successful night of kicking back a few if you organize before hand.

1. Always, always have a sober parent. When Nate and I have a big even to go to we make sure one of us is the designated sober parent and it stays that way.

2. Find a babysitter you can trust to be up late with your child. If I know that I am going to be going out and having a good time I make sure the baby is with people who I trust completely.

3. Watch how much you drink. If you are at the point where you cannot drive, throwing up, and feel like you are reliving your first two years of college, then maybe you should be thinking about this whole I can still go out and have a kid thing.

4. Leave the drinking gross amounts of alcohol to others. Drunk people, for the most part, make great people watching. Just watch them because they will provide a good amount of entertainment.

While I wasn't out late these are the awesome pictures I have gotten of Link:

Lincoln has also developed a new habit that I have about 7 pictures of so far. See if you can spot his new way of saying hello:

We also spent this memorial day weekend in the hospital with my sister who had serious complications with her asthma. She was recently diagnosed with pneumonia by her doctor at school and by the holiday weekend she had enough. Her doctor and nurse were amazing and I'm glad we got it taken care of!

Getting her breathing on!
